Recipe Pan con tomate tomato bread
What if we went to Spain for an exotic breakfast with the recipe for Pan con tomate? For this, here are the ingredients and utensils you will need:
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- 1 small clove of garlic
- 4 slices of bread
- 1 large-hole 4-sided grater or 1 blender
- 1 toaster
Regarding the preparation, we have for the moment nothing simpler. First, rinse the tomatoes and cut them in half. Then remove the seeds and grate them with a coarse grater. Thus, you will recover the pulp without the skin. Then add a little olive oil, salt and pepper. Now it’s time to cut your baguette and toast it using the toaster for crispy bread. After that, you just have to let it cool. Finally, to finish, rub the bread with garlic before spreading the tomato on the bread. So, ready for an original breakfast?
In summer, there is no shortage of ideas for cold soups from here or elsewhere. For this traditional tomato soup recipe, we still stay in the south of Spain with the tomato gazpacho which has now invaded all the cuisines of the world. Here is what you will need to forget about your delicious zucchini gazpacho recipe for a little bit:
- 1 kg ripe tomatoes
- 90g bread
- 3 small sized garlic cloves
- 8 c. olive oil
- 5 c. tablespoon sherry vinegar
- 20 cl of water
- Flower of salt
Now let’s get to the implementation. If you can afford it, anticipate a little. Indeed, the recipe is much better when the ingredients have taken the time to impregnate each other. First, rinse and dry the tomatoes. Then cut them into pieces and put them in a bowl. Add the olive oil, the stale bread cut into pieces and the crushed garlic. Then, salt and pepper. At this stage of the preparation, mix and leave to rest for 1 hour 30 minutes in the refrigerator. After that, put everything in a soup blender with water and sherry vinegar. Finally, mix until you get an ultra-fine, creamy texture. All you have to do is refrigerate again for at least 2 hours. You will tell us about it!

Then, put them in a colander with a little salt. Cut the mozzarella into slices and set aside. Next, mix the crushed garlic with the various herbs. Now, mix the dry bread with the butter to obtain a grainy dough. You hit the mark. Arrange a layer of tomatoes in a well-buttered dish. Salt, pepper, add the herbs, the mozzarella. Fortunately, storing your tomatoes is not complicated. First, remember to keep them away from light and heat. Thus, they will feel much better in an environment at room temperature and in the open air. The ideal place to store your tomatoes is in a cool place at 12°C. This way they will stay good for 1 week. Finally, be aware that it is better not to keep them near cucumbers, broccoli, eggplant, mushrooms and cabbage. Indeed, tomatoes, because of the ethylene they contain, would accelerate the aging process of other fruits and vegetables. Always good to know, right?
