It’s now or never. Registration for the Nice international half-marathon closes at midnight. Last straight line before joining the starting line this Sunday, May 22. Here’s everything you need to know to get in shape.

Races for the challengers…

Four events have been designed so that young and old, amateurs and professionals can all put on their basketball shoes and take up the challenge. The main route, 21.1 km, will take you along the Promenade des Anglais, from Avenue de la Californie to the port of Nice. A challenge to be met in three hours maximum.

For the less adventurous, a 10 km course, flat and accessible by the sea, has been designed. It also runs along the Promenade des Anglais, without going as far as the port. You will have 1h30 to complete it.

For those looking for performance or looking for a first official competition, wishing to have fun over a distance accessible to all, the 5 km timed course is made for you.

…but also for amateurs

But races have also been designed for those who only wish to benefit from the benefits of running without time pressure, with friends or family. The 5 km course is available without a stopwatch, so everyone can go at their own pace.

For the runners of tomorrow, the Haribo races close this edition of the Nice half-marathon. A 1.5 km course, or 1 km for the youngest, with sweets at stake, so that everyone can take part in this sporting day.

The 90s in the spotlight

2022 is a year like no other. The Nice International Half-Marathon celebrates its 30th anniversary. For the occasion, the 90s will punctuate this sporting day. But this decade was also capital in the mobilization against the AIDS virus.

The half-marathon was therefore organized for the benefit of Sidaction. One euro will automatically be donated to the association. When registering, you can make an optional additional donation of the amount of your choice.

The conditions for registering

The events are open to all runners, licensed or not, but under certain conditions. The 21.1 km half-marathon is accessible to competitors aged 18 and over. For the 10 km course, you must be at least 16 years old. The 5 km circuit is open to young people from 12 years old.

For the Haribo races, children between 10 and 13 years old can run along the 1.5 km. The 1 km race is reserved for 7/9 year olds.

Parental authorization is required for minors. For performance races, timed, a medical certificate is required.
